This magazines main image is a young man who is neatly put together, e.g gelled hair, clean shave, good skin and expensive clothing. He is the product of the title. This gives men an inspirational aspect of the cover. As men will strive to look like the image which is shown to be praised. David Beckham is a well known celebrity, many men may see him as a role model. Which is indicated by this magazine by displaying a clear shot of his face. His image overlapping the title. Which arguably shows his importance of image. From The bold like pose of the man and sharp colours displays sophistication, dominance and masculinity. This creates a certain choice of reader, which are men. This becomes generally appealing to males to read, they want to find out how they can look the same as the image before them. David Beckham is positioned where is upper body is mainly revealed. Furthermore his shoulders are mainly focus point in the image rather than the rest of the body. This is to elevate his upper body strength and fitness. Which is again an  product of the title.


The title Men's Health, clearly states in bold letters who are suppose to be the readers. Male readers will be attracted to this as the title allows them to be healthy in a way that is masculine. The media world is well known for giving ideas for woman to look attractive. For men to do the same, they will choose an adviser that suits and matches their image. Men's Health illustrates a strong muscular man with good skin, hair and looks. This therefore attracts  the audience as when they read the title they automatically have an clear image inspiration. The connotation that this magazine reveals is that it is mainly directed for men that would go to the gym and keep a  healthy diet.

There are many subtitles in this magazine. In particularly the largest subtitles are the most defines as more masculine and ways to attract the audience. The subtitle  "STYLE with MUSCLE" basically compliments and describes the man in the image next to it. which praises David Beckham of his identity. Precisely making men want to have the same appearance. Above this is the subtitle "101 WAYS TO LOOK GREAT" suggests that their are a ton (101) of steps that can help any one to look just as good as David Beckham. It could perhaps make the audience excited to look through the steps, In addition the subtitle could also suggest that the person reading the magazines is in surely need of big transformation, and the difference of the appearance will be huge. 

This language in this magazine is colloquial as is is more conversational then formal. The fact that the magazine it is more conversational allows the mood to come across more lighthearted and friendly. Therefore less commanding and bossy in its tips to have an certain appearance. This will grab the readers attention because they are able to relate to a friendly conversation. In the subtitle "101 WAYS TO LOOK GREAT!" the language here is genuine and positive. This is especially done by the explanation mark. Since it uplifts the mood. Therefore attracts the reader.

This magazine has a small amount of colours; the main are red, orange, black and white. They don't clash including the colours red and orange are close in the colour chart. The colour of the title is a light orange, while David Beckham's red contrasts against it. As it it darker and bolder, which gives his figure a distinctive, dominant statement of his identity. Further more it makes the light orange subtitles invisible comparing to him. His bold appearance will grab the readers attention.

Colloquial subtitles are used in this magazine for example"THE COOLEST LETTER JACKET" This subtitle has a friendly and playful aspect. Typically the word "coolest" is not formal and is a type of word that is used among friends. Therefore displays that the subtitles drawn reader in with its uplifting mood.
